Day 2 in Singapore.

XX Second day here in Singapore. Went to Jurong Mall last night after dinner. Things are pretty expensive. :S And my wound hurt so much I kept whining. Sobs. I could not sleep well last night. Today's better but as I got up in the morning, I could not walk properly.

Ouch. Oh ouch.

And another thing was the telephone line here is.. I don't know. I can receive calls and text messages but I just cannot send or call! Argh. Yeah. Frustrating. It was alright yesterday when I reached Singapore.
Anyway. This morning, went to the Jurong bird park. I could not recognise the place until I stepped inside. Then I was like :

Oh. I've been here before.

Well that was like how many years back. I was just 12-years old back then! Had fun looking at the birds again. But the weather was hot. Plus the condition of my left foot, it's a little frustrating. Gah. Then we went for lunch. Had chicken rice. I did not eat much. Nah. The chicken rice here in Songapore is different from our Malaysian chicken rice. Oh I took pictures. And again I repeat, all the pictures will be up when I return back to Malaysia. That will be on Monday. So only on Tuesday the pictures will be up. Patience alright people? :)

Will be going to the Night Safari tonight.

(I have to put something up. Some picture. Don't want my post to look all words and to avoid readers having a spinning head)

And again. I've been there. I'm just saying alright. No harm. :) Alright. Time to rest awhile.

Adios. :)

Day 1 in Singapore.

I'm going down to Singapore!! :) Oh yes I am excited. Well.. It's not like I have not been down there. Still, It's been a while since I've stepped out of this country. Oh wait. I'm in Singapore now typing this. Just reached my relatives place now. No idea where we will be going. Maybe not going out. Will be having dinner with them. Hmmm.

We stopped by at Melaka. Went to the Crocodile Farm to have a look at what my brother calls : Beyond-God-like-Crocodiles.

Haha. The Crocodiles were huge. Really. It's like they can just SNAP you into half. But before that, we passed by a Go-Kart racing track. Awesome! It's both my brother and I's first time racing in a Go-Kart. It was definately fun! :D On the way back we are going to stop by there again. Yes. Race again. My brother met with an accident on his second lap. Gosh he was so close to me! Then I took my cousins for another three laps again. Unfortunately I also met with a minor accident. Hurt my left leg. Ouch! Sobs. :(

Well. Enough. Photos will be up when I will return back to Malaysia. :) Till here. Will be back soon. :)

100th!

XX Ah yes! Finally! Here you are reading my 100th post! I finally reach to this number. I started since.. August, year 2007. Well.. It's more than a year then only I've reached my 100th post. Seems pathetic to me. *laughs* anyway.. I've been looking forward to this day where I can tell out here "THIS is my 100th post!" :) Yippee!

And so.. I have always got this problem. What am I supposed to write here? Then suddenly. (light bulb turns on in my head) This question came into mind.

Why are most of the girls now trying to be stick thin?

Yes. So here I go. Have you ever wonder about that question? I'm sure many of you do. Well, this problem hits on most teenage girls. Maybe from the age of 14 and above. So let me ask this,

why are girls so self-conscious about the way their body look?

I'm a girl. *laughs* and you may think that I should be able to answer that question. Well no. I've got no idea. But here are my thoughts about this. From the hair all the way down to the clothes. Girls just want to dress up and look good. We girls dress to impress. Or do we? Hmmm. Too much pimples on the face? We'll find a way to get rid of those irritating pimples to have a much more soft and smoother skin. Right? We don't want to be looking like some pimple prone girl walking down the street. And besides that, wanting to look our best, we also want to have nice clothes to wear to impress people. Well not to mention cute boys ;)

And because of that, we girls tend to be conscious about how our body look. Aware of some "fats" prodding out from the body, we tend to wear big or long clothes to cover up. On the contrary, we try to slim down so that we will be able to look much more impressive. To get people to pay attention to us. But does it requires us to want to look like a model? Oh dear. Maybe like Victoria Beckham?

Oh no. She's a size zero? I do not know. She looks sophisticated. But I do not want to look as skinny as her! Gosh. You go on a diet, even skipping meals, avoiding food that will make you gain weight, all just to lose weight. Slim down. It's not really a good idea to do that. Really. Just to be stick thin, we girls go way out to achieve that. But we are never really satisfied. Yes. Never. We envy some of the boys, whom I say, eats alot but never will you see them gaining weight. I might just blame them for having a high metabolism rate. *envy envy* Ah but that is not all.

I am sure you people have heard of this two illness. Bulimia Nervosa and Anorexia Nervosa. Well I won't elaborate on what is it here. I've made a link so go check it out yourself. But having this two illness is very harmful to you and your body. Yes. Think of the Olsen twins.

We come in all shapes and sizes. If your big. Then stay that way. If your small, stay that way. It is who you are. You don't have to have a good body to show off. Don't be jealous of those that are blessed with what I call "a model's body". It's not worth damaging your own body. you won't know what you are doing to your body until it's too late.

Last but not least, do eat healthily. Here in Malaysia, we have got so many kinds of food. How can you just pass them on? No way! Exercise to stay healthy too. Being healthy is what that's important. Oh and please do not look into the mirror and go : "oh my bum looks fat" Or maybe "Ugh. I look fat". Don't do that. Start today by looking in the mirror and say : "I look good today", "I like the way I am". Staying positive is another thing too! :)

Well I've got to run. Here I end my 100th post. I think this is so far my most solid post ever. *proud* *laughs* Ah I am hungry. Off to find some good Malaysian food out there somewhere.

As I like to put it, Love yourself before you love others.

I'm loving myself ;) Cheers!

Did I Marry the Right Person?

Looking at the title of this post, is it a question that you will ask yourself after you have been married for lets say, at least 5 years? Well to start off I am not married yet. But after reading this article, I've learnt a thing or two. This, I say, is a worth reading article.

Those who are still single may learn something from here...
Those who are already married may take it as a guideline to improve your marriage & relationship ...

DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?

During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said, 'How do I know if I married the right person?'
I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, 'It depends. Is that your husband?'

In all seriousness, she answered 'How do you know?'

Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind.

Here's the answer.
EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse / partner .

You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies (unconventional behavior/habit).

Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience.

You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called 'falling' in love... Because it's happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, 'I was swept of my feet.' Think about the imagery of that __expression.

It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling in love is easy.

It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage,

The euphoria (excitement) of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship.

Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all),

Touch is not always welcome (when it happens),

And your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage,

You will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love

And a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, 'Did I marry the right person?'

And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had,

You may begin to desire that experience with someone else.

This is when marriages breakdown.

People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious.

But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it.

I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else.

You could.

And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later.

Because (listen carefully to this):

THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON;

IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't 'find' LASTING love.

You have to 'make' it day in and day out. That's why we have the __expression 'the labor of love.'

Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM.

You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery.

There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships.

Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger,

Certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger.

It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws,

The results are predictable... You can 'make' love.

Love in marriage is indeed a 'decision'... Not just a feeling.

Remember this always:

'God determines who walks into your life.

It is up to you to decide who you let walk away,

Who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.'

It's really true when that line says : THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON, IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

my dear,
you have found me
and I will love you
always

Gummy Bears!

XX Oh I did not get to touch the computer. So no post from me. But don't fret. I am back now :) Yes. Back. But I'll be gone for quite some time this weekend. Anyway, I am now sort of craving for.. Yes. You guessed it. Gummy Bears!

Wonderful isn't it? Look at the colours. So colourful. Ok. So what exactly happened that I came to crave for Gummy Bears?

Ok. So here is what happened.

One of my aunt went to Munich, Germany for holiday. (I think) For 10 days! Wow. How I wish I could go along too. Anyway, she came back with goodies for us (her niece and nephew). Got us some chocolates,

and this packet of Gummy Bears. It was in the refrigerator for just one day. Then, last night, my brother decided to open it. Take a peek inside the packet..

Then, pour the contents out.

You'll have this.

The only thing I said to my brother at the beginning was,
this whole packet is just going to disappear in a few minutes time.

So how true was that?

Line the Gummy Bears up.

Then the fun starts. One by one you pick them up and place them in your mouth. (well don't worry they, the Gummy Bears won't scream) Munch them slowly. Unlike my brother who munch them TOO fast and then grabs a handful and repeat the procedure. One by one the Gummy Bears disappears in our mouths.

Until the end, I've got to stop and told my brother,
Hey. I've got to offer Ernest some as well. Stop eating!

So yeah. Stopped. Yea. My brother stopped eating. But he kept giving me a funny look on his face. My cousin, Ernest took some. But not as much as my brother and I! In the end, we finished the whole packet in just a couple of minutes time. Before our dinner.

We were laughing and laughing because I told my brother,
once you open the packet, it's all going to finish tonight.

And I kept repeating that same line for a few times as my brother tries to grab some Gummy Bears for himself. (note that I was the one HOLDING the packet at that time)

It's like that saying I also told my brother,
Once the packet is open, you will not stop eating.

Think Pringles. Once you pop, you can't stop. :D

So yeah. That's basically what had happened and I still crave for Gummy Bears.

Gummy Bears anyone??

Can I Have This Dance? - HSM 3

Oh this song is nice. Just listen/read to the lyrics.. :)

Oh what the heck. Just go through the lyrics. Hope you get what I mean ;)

[Gabriella]
Take my hand, take a breath
Pull me close and take one step
Keep your eyes locked on mine,
And let the music be your guide.

[Troy and Gabriella]
Won't you promise me (now won't you promise me, that you'll never forget)
We'll keep dancing (to keep dancing) wherever we go next

(chorus)
It's like catching lightning the chances of finding someone like you
It's one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do
And with every step together, we just keep on getting better
So can I have this dance (can I have this dance)
Can I have this dance

[Troy]
Take my hand, I'll take the lead
And every turn will be safe with me
Don't be afraid, afraid to fall
You know I'll catch you through it all

[Troy and Gabriella]
And you can't keep us apart (even a thousand miles, can't keep us apart)
'Cause my heart is (cause my heart is) wherever you are

(chorus)
It's like catching lightning the chances of finding someone like you
It's one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do
And with every step together, we just keep on getting better
So can I have this dance (can I have this dance)
Can I have this dance

[Gabriella and Troy]
Oh no mountains too high enough, oceans too wide
'Cause together or not, our dance won't stop
Let it rain, let it pour
What we have is worth fighting for
You know I believe, that we were meant to be

(chorus)
It's like catching lightning the chances of finding someone like you (like you)
It's one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do (way we do)
And with every step together, we just keep on getting better
So can I have this dance (can I have this dance)
Can I have this dance

Can I have this dance
Can I have this dance

Appreciate Life.

Everyday, we awaken with another chance at life
Sometimes we forget how lucky we are and we often forget
To appreciate the little things around us, that mean so much
Here's a poem I wish to share with all of you
Thank you for being a part of this wonderful group

Too often we don't realize
what we have until it is gone
Too often we wait too late to say
"I'm sorry - I was wrong"
Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones
We hold dearest to our hearts
and we allow foolish things
to tear our lives apart

Far too many times we let
unimportant things into our minds
and then it's usually too late
to see what made us blind

So be sure that you let people know
how much they mean to you
take that time to say the words
before your time is through

Be sure that you appreciate
everything you've got
and be thankful for the little things
in life that mean a lot.

Something to think about.

Something Thoughtful for the day.. Taken from my mail and I do have all these writen down as well somewhere.. So lets just share it with everyone out there.. :) It's all pretty true if you read and take the time to think about it. :) Enjoy..

Read Each One Carefully and Think About It a Second or Two

1. I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you.

2. No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won't make you cry.

3. Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

4. A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.

5. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can't have them.

6. Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.

7. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

8. Don't waste your time on a man/woman, who isn't willing to waste their time on you.

9. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.

10. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.

11. There's always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around.

12. Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you.

13. Don't try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to.

REMEMBER : WHATEVER HAPPENS, HAPPENS FOR A REASON.

Friday, November 7, 2008

Just another working day...

XX Alrighty.. Time to blog!! I did not get the chance to blog yesterday as I don't know what's wrong with the server. Something was wrong with the internet connection. :( So now.. I AM blogging!! Hahaha.. Well.. Father brought me to a client's office on Wednesday. It's at the Menara AmBank there. The client publishes magazines. They have got Newsweek, Time Out Kuala Lumpur, Expatriate Lifestyle, Golf Vacations Magazines and many more. Lol. While father was in a meeting there, I was sitting at the receptionist area waiting for him, I took the past few issues of their magazines to browse through. "Not bad" I thought to myself. Lol. Really impressive. Lifestyle magazines. I did not bother to take a look at Newsweek magazine. Lol. I am afraid it will bore me. Lol. I even took the Time Out Kuala Lumpur magazine to read. Latest issue. Danial Craig on the front cover :) Hahaha

The latest issue of Expatraite Lifestyle - Nov 2008

And there you go. The latest issue of Time Out Kuala Lumpur - Nov 2008 :)

And I flipped through a few magazines. The Expatraite Lifestyle magazines.. The magazine content is pretty interesting. Lol. Really. I don't know how to describe it here. Lol. But I was getting bored as it is still not suitable for me to read. Lol. Not much of an interest. So I took a picture of this...

Appearently that's what I wore. Lol. Pants and heels. Lol. Nice eh?? Haha.. I like it :) Lol.Alright.. That's for all now. Oh gosh. I am just rushing to blog. Lol. I've got another blog to manage. Please check it out :) Thanks..
