EARTH HOUR

This is a video of the earth hour 2007 held at Sydney.

Earth Hour 2008

It all started with one question. That question was, "I'm just one person. What can i do about global warming? Then our conscience kicked in. In our heads.. thinking, pondering tat "How I tried to be envirommently aware, How not to be wasteful, How to do the right thing!"
But. I'm just one person..Some sort of change should occur.
Thus on the 31th of March 2007, one city - Sydney, decided to make a powerful statement about the urgent need of action on global warming. So Sydney decided to convey its message by switching off unnessary lights around city for ONE hour.(not much but aleast its a start)
.With over 2.2 million people participated in Sydney. It was hard for the world not to notice such powerful message. This simple act has captured the hearts and minds of people all over the world.

So in 2008 the world decided to follow Australia's lead and join them to bring The event back to life in Earth Hour 2008. With 35 countries around the world participating as official flagship cities and over 400 cities also supporting, At 8pm on the 29 March 2008 estimated about 36 million people in some of the world's biggest cities celebrated Earth Hour 2008. IT was a major success, celebrated on all seven continents. Iconic landmarks all around the world turned off their non-essential lighting for Earth Hour which included the Empire State Building (New York City), Sears Tower (Chicago), Golden Gate Bridge (San Francisco), Bank of America Plaza (Atlanta), Sydney Opera House (Sydney, Australia), Wat Arun Buddhist Temple (Bangkok, Thailand), the Colosseum (Rome, Italy), Royal Castle (Stockholm, Sweden), London's City Hall (England), Space Needle (Seattle, USA), the CN Tower (Toronto, Canada) and SM Mall of Asia & The Giant Globe (Manila, Philippines).

Earth Hour 2007 was a Sydney event. Earth Hour 2008 is a global movement.
Now its Earth Hour 2009. lets wait and see....

Look!! even Google joined us! "By switching off their Lights" (:

But personally I think. Once a year isn't enough. Such great event should be held atleast twice a year or maybe every month. lol. Then only at that point that earth hour would really make an impact on us, and to Mother Nature.
Anyway here are some posters.

Go here for more.

So lets make Earth Hour 2009 an EVEN GREATER event. Together lets make this meaningful event, EPIC. Lets make a difference!
SHALL WE ? So deal okay? REMEMBER! TONIGHT, March 28 from 8.30pm to 9.30pm - EARTH HOUR 2009!!! HOORAY!!
Lets make our earth rock in Darkness....
Cheers~~

♥ My Birthday weekend ♥ (Part 1)

Ok. One day by one day. Or maybe I'll just put all in one. And so it'll be a very super long post. I'll have to update and upload pictures here slowly. I'll start with..

Saturday, 21st March.

A very Happy Birthday to my jie Sing Ley, which I haven seen for quite sometime yet I bumped into her quite often. Hahar... I hope she had a blasting 20th birthday! :D

So, I asked Angela out. Sheau Chuen was supposed to come along too BUT.. She did not come back from Kampar for that weekend. Sad me. :( So it was just Angela and me. We went to 1 Utama for our "date". Did not really took any pictures. :( but... we shopped around. At F.O.S., gosh. What a mess. Pity those who have to clear up the huge mess.

we were part of creating this mess. Yet it was already in that state when we arrived at the scene. So don't blame us!

But I caught somebody red-handed rummaging through!

Aha! Angela...

And then a random picture of her coming down the escalator. Hehe ^^

After that, I went for dinner with Aunt, cousin, mother and brother at La Bodega restaurant at Bangsar Shopping Center. Argh. Do not go there if you do not know how to eat Spanish food. (I think its Spanish). Thought the food portion is big, but when the food came, OMG OMG OMG. So small ar? What is this? OMG. Really. Let the pictures do the talking.

Food~

But in small portions. :(

After that we headed to Bangsar Village to walk. Err wait. To eat. Went to Madam Kwan to get another round of dinner. Lol. Funny. Gosh. Then we went walking around in Bangsar Village. Look see look see.

So far. That's it for Saturday. Look at the time I finished this post. Gah. Sleeping time.

Next up : ♥ My Birthday weekend ♥ (Part 2)

LeeHom! :D

I just realized that I have already reached 200 post. Gosh. how blur can I get? VERY! zzZ especially when I am in a super duper tired mood right.. now.

Anyway, just to let you guys out there know, I just went to LeeHom's homepage and OMG. Wow. Nice~ ;) I am going to stay at that site for now. Adios.

Thanks For The Memories.

Yes. Thank you for the memories that you have given me.

I have actually, finally, finished reading a book! FINALLY! I use to glue myself to a book and finished it in a day. but now it dragged on for about... a few weeks? T_T Anyway. I am so happy that I finished the book and so I have got to scribble it here for now.

How can you know someone you’ve never met?

Joyce Conway remembers things she shouldn’t. She knows about tiny cobbled streets in Paris, which she has never visited. And every night she dreams about an unknown little girl with blonde hair.

Justin Hitchcock is divorced, lonely and restless. He arrives in Dublin to give a lecture on art and meets an attractive doctor, who persuades him to donate blood. It’s the first thing to come straight from his heart in a long time.

When Joyce leaves hospital after a terrible accident, with her life and her marriage in pieces, she moves back in with her elderly father. All the while, a strong sense of déjà vu is overwhelming her and she can’t figure out why …

I totally like the ending. I wish to know what happened. Cecelia Ahern has once again capture many with this book. :) Cheers!

Fun!

Appearantly I found a site that leads me to all this. Check them out. :)

I've got more at Facebook! :D
